Middleware Message Queuing

Message queuing has gained popularity as the best technology for integrating asynchronous applications that need reliable and secure message delivery. Unisys offers two popular message-oriented middleware technologies to ClearPath users: WebSphere MQ and Microsoft Message Queuing.

Message queuing is an important part of any heterogeneous data center's integration strategy. WebSphere MQ and Microsoft Message Queuing provide both the synchronous and asynchronous exchange of system and application messages.

IBM WebSphere MQ

IBM WebSphere MQ is message-oriented middleware that uses the leading message queuing product for heterogeneous data centers. WebSphere MQ for ClearPath enables the exchange of ClearPath application messages with applications on 35 platforms that also support the standard WebSphere MQ product.

Microsoft Message Queuing

Microsoft Windows based, message-oriented middleware supports the MS COM and COM+ architectures. It allows message exchange between applications running on Windows 2000 and other Windows platforms. It is fully integrated with the Microsoft COM+ Transaction Manager, IIS and HIS. It can also be used effectively in clustered Windows environments.
