Unisys offers its own satellite delivery of weather data as even another option for our customers. The Unisys commercial Ku-Band data delivery method uses a smaller and easier to install antenna compared to a NOAAPORT.

Many of our customers, to whom weather data is mission critical, use Unisys satellite weather data delivery as a back up to their NOAAPORT. With this method of data delivery you get to pick and choose which weather products you want delivered. The choice of weather data includes many products not available via NOAAPORT.

The Ku-Band satellite receive system is made up of the Unisys Gateway and Unisys Weather Server products, along with a Ku-Band antenna and receiver. The Unisys Gateway product is the satellite receive computer, and the Unisys Weather Server is the weather database. The Gateway product can be purchased separately, to receive weather data for non-Unisys weather display systems.
