London: United Kingdom, 13th May 2009 – The UK subsidiary of Unisys Corporation (NYSE:UIS), the global IT services and technology company, today announced it has partnered with Dexterra, Inc., to provide mobile access to the UK police service’s investigation management system HOLMES2, used by all UK police forces to investigate serious crimes. Once complete, more than 5,000 police investigators, support staff and management across 59 police forces could benefit from 24/7 mobile access to HOLMES2. In addition, by incorporating Dexterra’s technology into its expansive product portfolio, Unisys will now be able to provide enterprise and public sector mobility solutions to support a wide variety of business processes within organisations of all sizes. The mobilisation project comprises of 11 applications built on the Dexterra Concert mobility platform – addressing areas such as managing case actions, storing information about exhibits, and searching and cross-referencing information from multiple cases – which will be made available to the police service through 2010. Individual forces will then be able to choose the combination of applications that best suits their mobility needs.
